Located in the heart of Alger Heights near the corner of Eastern and Alger sits a wonderful, eclectic restaurant called The Old Goat.
In a word (or a few)…what a cool place!
As you walk in the back door, you watch while the pizza chefs prepare the wood-fired pizzas from the Neopolitan pizza menu. Our amazing server, Adam B. described the crust as “gluten heavy” (proudly bucking against the gluten-free trend) and highly recommended the margarita.
I decided to go light and enjoy a fresh fish entree – when I ordered the Trout Camp, Adam’s eyes lit up, and I took that as a sign that my tastebuds were about to be dancing!
He was right! When our dishes came, there wasn’t a bad bite on the plate!
Combine amazing food with a great atmosphere of low lighting, candles on the table, the bass and piano playing in the background you have an awesome option for a date night, night out with friends or anything in between.
